Updates in Death of Philip Haney: Carried USB out of Fear for His Life, Family & Friends Say.

Updated: May 6, 2020

  • On 2/21 at 10:21 AM, Philip is found dead on the side of a road with “what appeared to be” a single “self-inflicted gunshot wound

  • Absolutely no evidence of any suicidality or depression

  • The overwhelming majority of Philip’s family & friends highly doubt or reject suicide

  • Several friends claimed that Philip feared for his life, and even specifically warned of the possibility he’d be “suicided”

  • The official cause of death is waiting for the results of an on-going investigation which the FBI joined at the Sheriff’s request

Philip Haney's death is undoubtedly suspicious. The mainstream media as of now has mostly failed to report on the story, and the outlets that have failed to update new key details.

I launched my own independent investigation into the former Department of Homeland Security Official, talking to extremely close family and friends of his. So far, I haven't been able to find a single friend or family member that believes he truly committed suicide.

Leo Hohmann, a extremely close friend of Haney's, reports that he warned multiple friends and family members that he could be killed, and even "suicided", saying he told a mutual friend in Vermont that "If I ever go on to meet my Maker, and it looks like I did myself in, don’t believe it!”.

In the Facebook posts of multiple close friends on his own page, and on his friends morning posts, they claim that he carried a flash drive containing "all the things anyone would kill him for". The recovery of this drive could explain the FBI becoming involved in his death investigation.

My emails with Leo Hohmann provide verification of the existence of this drive, saying that "multiple sources" knew of the drive and Hohmann also knew he used to have it in their interactions, saying he wore it "religiously", but that the current whereabouts of the drive are unknown.

Through my investigation, I have concluded that it's highly unlikely Haney committed suicide, and it's more likely he was murdered. I have been unable to find even one friend or family member who agrees Haney's cause of death was suicide, with many (like Hohmann and Phillip's family according to his step mother) saying that him dying by suicide was absolutely impossible.

I will release all evidence gathered by my investigation in the weeks following.
